India and Communism

“APPEAR WEAK WHEN YOU ARE STRONG, AND STRONG WHEN YOU ARE WEAK“
                                                 - Sun Tzu- The Art of War

There was a time when war was fought by swords, spears and arrows. Then came the cannons and later on they were replaced by guns. Currently atoms and viruses are used as weapons but there is one more thing, probably the most important but hardly noticed by common people. DATA.
“Data is the new gold” is commonly heard from IT guys but what gets unnoticed is that the same data is also a new weapon. Information/Data is not only being used as a weapon during war but also to topple the government or shatter the economy of the hostile nations. Data manipulation is a new art and whoever conquers it, conquers the world. In technical terms this concept is known as FIFTH GENERATION WARFARE.
Also known as INFORMATION WARFARE or GREY ZONE WARFARE.
In many part of the world there has been organizations, intelligence agencies etc. working for such things. The Nazi were probably the first one to understand this but unfortunately it didn’t worked out well after 1941 when Adolf Hitler invaded USSR (now Russia). But then what people believed them as a “messiah of poor” THE COMMUNISTS became the unrivaled master of Propaganda Warfare.
After the World War 2 another war began. War of ideologies between 2 superpowers USA and USSR. The Soviet intelligence agency KGB started spreading their propaganda in whole world. Though CIA was also doing the same.
Meanwhile in India, Soviet Refineries Construction was formed and in 1963 a bright young Russian man named Yuri Bezmenov came to India for work in Soviet Refineries Construction as a translator and public relations officer. This was his cover identity, Yuri was an employee of Moscow State University in Institute of Oriental Languages which was under direct control of KGB and the Communist Central Committee. Graduates of that school were employed as diplomats, foreign journalists, or spies. Yuri was no exception. We came to India and started building assets here. Politicians, journalists, academicians, poets, filthy rich film makers and ego-centric people who lacked moral principles.

CASE: 1 A famous Hindi poet:

Yuri Bezmenov invited a famous Hindi poet to USSR who wrote a poem called “Rhapsody to Lenin”. He is none other than Sumitranandan Pant. They stayed there for few days and went back home. For people it was just a formal invitation with “diplomats”. Though there is a possibility that he might be unaware of it. Bezmenov illustrated in an interview that one of the functions of KGB agents was to keep foreign guests permanently intoxicated. This was one of the ways to kill the awareness, or curiosity of foreign journalists.

(Sumitranandan pant with his usual long hairs standing 3rd from left beside Yuri Bezmenov)

“The moment they landed at Moscow Airport, they were taken to the VIP Lounge and toasted to friendship and understanding between the nations of the world. A glass of vodka, then a second glass of vodka, and in no time these guests would be feeling very happy, they would see everything in a kind of pink, nice color, and that’s the way they were kept permanently for the next 15 or 20 days.” Said Bezmenov.
Yuri Bezmenov explained Russia (USSR) was paying money to Delhi University professors, Left wing Communists parties, writers, poets, Indian Media, Indian newspapers, Naxalites & Maoists since after India’s freedom to promote Russian Communist Ideology in India. Everything was paid by the Soviet government. This DU Professor was made to believe that he was invited to USSR because he is talented, sober-thinking intellectual. Absolutely false: He was invited because he was a useful idiot, because he will agree and subscribe to most of the Soviet propaganda clichés, and when he will back to his own country, he will go for years and years to teach the beauty of Soviet socialism, to newer and newer generations of his students, thus promoting the Soviet propaganda line.
These Intellectuals & Writers were awarded because they act as Puppet to brainwash India masses. He told even if Indians would be told the truth they will not believe, so deep is the ideological brain-wash.

Yuri Bezmenov explained – “Most of these people were divided roughly into two groups. Those who would toe the Soviet foreign policy, they would be promoted to the positions of power through media and public opinion manipulation. But, those who refused the Soviet influence in their own country would be character-assassinated or executed physically, con-revolution.”

He argued – “Soviet Union was bringing a new type of colonialism to India which was 1000 times more oppressive and exploitative than any colonialism and imperialism in the history of mankind.”
As the part of his mission, he got married to this Indian Girl Student who followed Communist Marxist Ideology. But, later on while escaping India, he divorced her.

CASE: 2 Split loyalty

His words – “I literally fell in love with this beautiful country, a country of great contrasts, but also great humility, great tolerance and philosophical and intellectual freedoms. My ancestors used to live in caves and eat raw meat when India was a highly civilized nation, six thousand years ago. So obviously the choice was not to the advantage of my own nation. I decided to defect, and to entirely disassociate myself from the brutal regime.” Russia brings to India not freedom, progress, and friendship between the nations, but racism, exploitation, and slavery, and of course economical inefficiency to this country. Since I fell in love with India, I developed something which by KGB standards is extremely dangerous thing. It’s called ‘split loyalty’: when an agent likes a country of assignment more than his own country.

Yuri Bezmenov gave the example – “Most of the former Marxist-Leninists were put to prison. One of them split and now he’s working against the Sandinistas. It happened in Grenada, when Maurice Bishop, who was already a Marxist was executed by a new Marxist who was more Marxist than this Marxist.
The same happened in Afghanistan. First there was Taraki. He was killed by Amin and Amin was killed by Brabak Karbakil with the help of the KGB. The same happened in Bangladesh when Mungi Burackman, the very pro-Soviet Leftist, was assassinated by his own Marxist-Leninist military comrades. It’s the same pattern everywhere. The moment they serve their purpose, all these useful idiots are either executed entirely, or exiled or put in prison. Many former Marxists in Cuba, are in prison.

Again the question is same WHO IS TO BE BLAMED?
WHO IS TO BE TRUSTED?
What we see in news channels, what we read in papers or from electronic media nowadays are they authentic? or driven by a similar propaganda? Why naxals and terrorists gets lawyers quickly?
